DIY HAND HARP
Industrial Design | Product Design
2018
DIY Hand Harp is a handheld, 3D-printed instrument redesign focused on usability, sound quality, and form refinement.
Starting from an open-source CAD model, I reworked the geometry to improve ergonomics using human anthropometrics, while enhancing acoustic performance and visual cohesion. I iterated through multiple prototypes—modeling, printing, assembling, and testing variations—before landing on a final form inspired by traditional harp silhouettes.
The result is a compact instrument that feels intentional in the hand and approachable to build and play.
