MUSICAL VISION
Industrial Design
2018
Musical Vision is an assistive wearable device developed in collaboration with Georgia Tech graduate students for a thesis project focused on accessibility for visually impaired users. The system combines five proximity sensors arranged in a fan-like configuration with bone conduction headphones, using sound and volume to communicate obstacles and distance.
My role focused on designing how the technology would be worn and housed. Through iterative CAD modeling, 3D printing, and testing, I developed a compact, modular enclosure that could be clipped to various points on the body, balancing comfort, usability, and component constraints.
