This project explores the design of a pendant light fixture intended to be sold as a flat-pack product and assembled by the consumer. The luminaire was designed using ¼” acrylic for the structural components and paper for the shade, with all parts laser cut for precision and repeatability. A key focus was designing an intuitive assembly process while arranging the cut files to minimize material waste.

 

The final form balances visual lightness with structural clarity, demonstrating an approach rooted in manufacturability, efficiency, and user-centered assembly.
